Our Story
May 23rd, 2023: Mayor Kokoros's proclamation on Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander Heritage Month and the foundation of the Chinese American Association of Braintree.
Since 1992, May has been designated as Asian Pacific American Heritage Month, and events are held across the United States to showcase Asian Pacific cultural traditions.
May 23, 2023, is a memorable day!
In the afternoon, the Chinese American Association of Braintree was formally established in the Town hall of Braintree, Massachusetts. Meanwhile, on the initiative of the Chinese American Association of Braintree, Mayor of Braintree Charles Kokoros signed the Proclamation, May was proclaimed as Asian Pacific Heritage Month in Braintree and a ceremony was held to celebrate it.
