How did we get here

May 23rd, 2023: Mayor Kokoros’s proclamation on Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander Heritage Month and the foundation of the Chinese American Association of Braintree.

Since 1992, May has been designated as Asian Pacific American Heritage Month, and events are held across the United States to showcase Asian Pacific cultural traditions.

May 23, 2023, is a memorable day!

In the afternoon, the Chinese American Association of Braintree was formally established in the Town hall of Braintree, Massachusetts. Meanwhile, on the initiative of the Chinese American Association of Braintree, Mayor of Braintree Charles Kokoros signed the Proclamation, May was proclaimed as Asian Pacific Heritage Month in Braintree and a ceremony was held to celebrate it.

Our Services

Promote cultural exchange within town of Braintree through special events:

  • Host Lunar New year celebration, and Mid Autumn Festival.
  • Promote community services and social involvement such as Braintree Day Parade.
  • Host social and fun activities to bring Chinese community members together.

Provide support in Chinese language for the following areas in town of Braintree: 

  • Assist in applying Residents/Citizen Benefit programs.
  • Voters’ education and registration. 
  • English Language education and translation assistance. 

Assist new Chinese residents to integrate into town of Braintree community, community education through information sessions:

  • Identity theft and scam, family support for special needs, and well-being – mental health challenges

Chinese American Association of Braintree is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to serving the Chinese community of Braintree, Massachusetts. CAAB relies on the generosity of both volunteers and donors to continue our mission.

We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization
